So I finally tried the Starbucks machine at the workplace (Hewlett-Packard Enterprise facility in Conway, AR). I got the larger of the two sizes of coffee and the LIGHTEST POSSIBLE roast. Sadly, they lived up to their name and made (as would be usual when I go into a Starbucks) bitter, almost undrinkable coffee.
